Why rent a harp?

Harp rental can be an excellent way to start learning the harp or explore the possibility of learning the harp, without committing to the often large, financial outlay of purchasing a harp

What harps do you rent?

We hire lever harps, sometimes known as non-pedal harps. These have 26 or 34 strings and all harps are fully levered.

What do the harps come with?

All harps come with a tuning key and a transport / carry bag.  They also all have removable legs to raise the playing position of the harp (except if stated that the harp is floor standing)

Is insurance included?

Yes, insurance is included in the monthly rental price.

What is the Minimum rental period?

The minimum rental period is 3 months.

How long can I rent the harp for?

There is no maximum length to the rental period.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes, there is a deposit of £100 to pay but this is fully refunded on the safe return of the harp

How much are the harps to rent?

The 26 string harps are £30 per month and the 34 string harps are £45 per month.

Can I buy the harp I am renting?

All the harps we have are for hire only and not available for sale at any point during the rental period.

Where can I collect the harp from?

We offer the option to collect the harps from Herefordshire or Woking

Will the harp fit in my car?

Accepted Answer

Yes but you might need to put the seats down.  The approximate height of the harps are 130cm.  Please contact us if you have any concerns about the harp fitting in your car and we can advise.

Can I have the harp delivered?

Yes, we provide a service by courier for the price of £100

How do I return the harp when I have finished renting it?

Accepted Answer

Please get in touch to arrange to return it to one of the drop off points or we can arrange a courier again at the cost of £100.

Can I take my harp out of the house while renting?

Accepted Answer

We understand that it might be necessary to move your harp when hiring it.  All harps come with a transport case so this makes moving it about easy.

What happens if a string breaks?

This can and does sometimes happen.  It is possible to replace the strings yourself albeit a little tricky the first few times.  We are here to help though and happy to provide assistance.

What happens if there is a problem with the harp while I am renting it?

Other than strings breaking there is thankfully little to go wrong with the harps.  If you do have any problems at any point with the harp you are hiring from us then do get in touch with us straight away.
